Sarah Tremlett MPhil, FRSA, SWIP and co-director of Liberated Words Poetry Film events is a writer, artist and poetry filmmaker. She is known for creating the term contemplative poetry films in her research on moving graphic poetics and visual philosophy. She has been commissioned to write The Poetics of Poetry Film by Intellect Books; and was commissioned by Alastair Cook of Film poem to make a film for The Poetry Society’s National Poetry Competition finalist ‘Claire Climbs Everest’ by American poet Sam Harvey. She has given talks on the subject worldwide and judged at a number of festivals, including Liberated Words, Newlyn Film Festival, and Light Up Poole. Her latest curated touring screening Uprooted (with films on the refugee crisis) will be part of REELpoetry festival, Houston in 2020.
