A story of love, loss, and redemption; Prison Dogs focuses on the impact of a unique dog training program that gives two of the most marginalized populations in our society — prison inmates and veterans — a second chance.

The documentary follows three inmates serving long-term sentences for murder and armed robbery who have been selected to participate in a program that trains service dogs for veterans with PTSD.

The profound relationship between humans and animals restores the lives of those who are physically and figuratively imprisoned. It is a story of hope and the power of second chances.
