Directed by Women Event

September 23, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 5:30 pm UTC-4

The Directed by Women Worldwide Film Viewing Party is a celebration of female directors and their works. The Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Library will be participating in this September celebration with film screenings on Friday, September 23, from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm. The library will show films directed by important African American women: Amma Asante (Belle), Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Secret Life of Bees), and Ava DuVernay (Selma). We will show these three films at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:15 pm and include brief moments for discussion between the films.

We hope members of the Indiana University and Bloomington community will come and enjoy watching these beautifully directed features!
